My stunning friend Charity

This week I had the opportunity to not only spend quality time with my dear girlfriend Charity but I was honored to take her photograph many times over as well. Charity is a model in and around Birmingham and has been chosen to compete in a competition with a modeling agency next month. She needed some new shots and I was happy to help out. I always knew she was beautiful, but after seeing her natural beauty shine through in these photographs I was reminded just how beautiful she really is. What a beautiful day today.......

As much as I would love to be outside in this amazingly beautiful weather today, I am inside working away! However, being stuck inside working away is a wonderful thing to be doing when you love what you do :0) I am an editing machine today, trying to get all my wonderful clients their photos and came across some fun pics from last weekend at the beach so I thought I would share a few with you. I went to Orange Beach for 2 jobs and had a blast with my dear friends Richard and Emily(who you met in a previous post) and my baby brother and his girlfriend and my wonderful husband. We had a great time despite the crazy wind! We stayed in mostly and laid around the condo since the sun never really came out. That made for some fun picture opportunities to say the least! And I won the scrabble game of course...............

Happy Birthday Beautiful Marina!

Well, there is nothing like bragging on your niece..... but when I say I have the smartest, most beautiful and adorable niece in the world I mean I really do! Marina is just wonderful and I adore her and cherish every minute I get to spend with her! She has the most fantastic and loving parents, grandparents and great grand parents in the world and my goodness they must all be so darn proud :0) I wanted to share some photos of Marina's big #2 birthday party for all to enjoy. She had a blast, as did we all. I think we may have a little Mozart on our hands!

Well friends, this week has started off a good one.......

Well friends, this week has been a good one. It started off cold and cloudy but today the sun is out and warmth is in the air. It appears Springtime is back, hopefully for good! This week is a new beginning for me. Out with the old and in with the new. Because of the blessings of my family and friends I am carefully putting one foot in front of the other and starting fresh. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful it feels, and the sense of calm and security that I feel. It is wonderful. Regardless of the long hours it takes getting everything up and running with new businesses and schoolwork , it will well be worth it in the long run. Well, enough about that. On to the bigger and much more beautiful things. My friends Emily and Richard. I have known Richard for several years now. He plays in a local band I adore, Five-O. Emily is a precious gem that I worked with and I just had a sneaking suspicion they might hit it off. So, introductions between the two I made sure were to quickly happen- and what do you know, less than a year later they are engaged to be married this June and I could not be more excited for these two! This past Saturday my husband and I met them in downtown Birmingham for a day of photograph taking fun. They were they most adorable couple in the world. Constantly laughing and holding hands and just smiling at each other the entire day. We walked all over and even hopped a train or two to catch the perfect shots of these two. I am honored to be able to share with you the Future Mr. and Mrs. Powell.

I had such a wonderful time photographing this beautiful face this past Sunday afternoon. Hayden is a delight to say the least, and the camera sure does love her. I have known her mother and father for many years and it was a hoot to watch her in action and see a little bit of both of them come out in her. She will be competing in a pageant this summer so everyone please wish her the best of luck! These are a few of my faves from the shoot!

Slow Start to a New Week

Wow, what a long week already! I cannot believe it is only Tuesday :0) But, I had a great weekend, lots of good news, good times with friends and I had a great photo shoot with one of my dearest friends little boy, Stephen Douglas Jacks. Poor thing was fussy, which he hardly ever is... we could not for the life of us understand why he was crying so much. Finally, the thermometer came out and what do you know? Baby is sick! I felt horrible, Mary felt horrible but he is doing just fine. However, the photos turned out great and I have posted some of my faves to share with you. I just want to pinch his cheeks everytime I look at these!

Well, today has been yet another HECTIC day! Productive it has been and for that I am thankful. However, busy does not even begin to describe it and I still have so much to do before bedtime.... But I wanted to hello before I got caught up in something else and share a few more pics.

New Day New Thoughts

So, today has been a crazy day. Between work, school, husband, dog and all the other activities that call to my attention, I have not been able to find much time to dedicate to photography today, and that quite simply depresses me. However, I have chosen to pry my eyelids open to work on a few shots that I have really been wanting to work on for weeks now. Believe it or not, it snowed here in Alabama not too long ago and I took some beautiful shots that I have wanted to share. So... hopefully I have the chance to finish at least a few this evening to share with you before my body shuts down on me.
